NUTCRACKER

I admit it's a tad late to promote Christmas cards. Most people have sent their cards already. But I just had to add one more favorite

What would Christmas be without Claire and her little Nutracker that in the land of the Sugar Plum Fairies became a Prince. If your community ballet company has a presentation of this I highly recommend it. And if you're fortunate enough to live in a major Metropolitan area, by all means get your tickets early. Tchaikovsky's soaring music alone makes the venture out into the cold worth it.And please enjoy the mp3 of WALTZ of the FLOWERS.

THE CARD THAT DIDN'T SHOW UP

Bright and early this nasty rainy morning I was inspired to open a SMILEBOX free account. I've often received slideshows of families' new babies and newly retired vacations. I love the look and thought, "What a great idea for portraits, art pieces and especially my greeting cards. Only problem, one of my favorites which was in portrait form, was cut off. I'm new to this so perhaps one can upload portrait and landscape views, but that will take some experimenting with the app. My favorite is a loosely done view of a school I attended many years ago; an Italianate Revival with the famed Gerber House in front and large convent and school behind. The school today houses the COLLINGWOOD ARTS CENTER in the historic OLD WEST END of Toledo, Ohio, a wonderful community known for preservation of its turn of the century homes.

I'm proud to feature this card in my blog as I remember the old St. Ursula Academy, Mary Manse College and St. Angela Hall, who all shared this campus many years ago.
